"Nine years ago we got the call that somehow was wrong with Xavier and we needed to take him to CPMC and their team was waiting for him. Two weeks later we were told they didn’t know if he would make it to his 2nd birthday, and two months later, we were told our Super X was terminal and that our UCSF team would do whatever they could to get him to live longer. Since then he has gone through more than any child or human should and has beat every timeline given to him. Now we focus on quality of life and making memories because we don’t know how long he will be with us. We continue to fight, and refuse to give up... moments like [this] I believe give him the willpower to keep fighting.
