Do It For The Love is excited to announce the appointment of Toni Brayer, MD, FACP as the new Board President. Dr. Brayer replaces Laura Lesveque Page, who was instrumental in helping the organization bring the healing power of music to so many people. Dr. Brayer will fill the role of new Board President immediately.

Dr. Brayer is committed to the Do It For The Love mission and brings her past experience to the role. She has been recognized for a long list of philanthropic activities that embody the Do It For The Love spirit. She’s received the American College of Physicians, Northern California Chapter award for volunteerism and community service for her medical work at Katrina, Honduras and the Haiti earthquake; she was named a “Health Care Hero” for her mission work by the San Francisco Business Times; and is on The San Francisco Business Times’ list of “The Bay Area’s 100 Most Influential Women in Business.”

“I have really enjoyed working alongside Toni for the past year and look forward to the leadership she will bring to this organization, ” says Joe Finocchiaro, Executive Director of DIFTL. “Anyone can see that she is incredibly talented, but what makes her an impeccable fit for Do It For The Love is the passion and commitment that she exudes.”

Dr. Brayer graduated cum laude from Arizona State University and received her Medical Degree from the University of Arizona. After residency training in San Francisco, she ran a group practice and continues to practice Internal Medicine for more than 34 years. She was named a national “Best Doctor” for 16 years and has been named “Top Doctor” by Castle-Connolly repeatedly, including 2020.  She was the first woman Chief of Staff at California Pacific Medical Center and was President of the San Francisco Medical Society.

As immediate past CEO of Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, Dr. Brayer was responsible for 70 medical clinics, more than 300 physicians and more than 1,000 employees in Northern California, including Sutter Health’s Institute for Health & Healing, a national leader in integrative medicine. Under her leadership and vision, revenues increased from $250 to $340m (74%) from new program growth, physician recruitment, new facilities and clinic consolidation.

Throughout her medical career, Dr. Brayer has been at the forefront of promoting health and healing. Do It For The Love is the latest organization to benefit from her expertise. Brayer says, “Bringing healing music to people with health challenges is a mission of love. DIFTL aligns perfectly with my passion and I am honored to be part of this organization.”

“We consider ourselves fortunate under Toni ‘s guidance and know that she will help lead this organization to inspire joy, hope and lasting celebratory memories in those who most need it for years to come,” says Joe.
